Election Day will be upon us before you know it. If you are unsure if your information is up to date, please visit the Long County Board of Elections and Voter Registration office at 75 W. Academy St. or call 912-545-2234, and make sure your current information (name, address, date of birth, etc.) is correct.

Voting Poll Workers Needed

If you are a resident of Long County and 16 years of age or older and interested in becoming a poll worker. Please contact the Long County Board of Elections and Voter Registration Office at 912-545-2234 or via email at voterinfo.lcelections@gmail.com or through messenger.

Long County Board of Commissioners Meeting June 6, 2023 (ATV Riding Events)

  1. Issue permits for events of this nature outlining the expectations of everyone involved.
  2. Make sure that a copy of the permit is given to the Sherriff’s department.
  3. Make sure law enforcement is involved to ensure that things are going in accordance with the permit.
  4. Anything such as noise ordinances and special conditions should be listed on the permit.
  5. If there is a concern about grading of the dirt roads, a fee can be charged to take care of the grading.
  6. Permit should also outline the boundaries of the event and the start and end times.
